Coastal Virginia's Ballet Academy and Company

It was a wonderful break over Thanksgiving, but now it’s back to work.  We are tying up all of the loose ends with the guests and housing, transportation, rehearsal schedules, costumes and of course those little surprises that come along the way.  The dancers are ready and fine tuning the choreography with Suzanne’s and my insistence 🙂   Susan has done another amazing job organizing the volunteers and that logistically crazy schedule she puts together year after year.  Symphonicity and the  Salem HS Chorus are rehearsing, and our Lighting Designer/Production Manager and Stage Manager are  about to dive in with me on the crew schedule as well as set, prop and costume transportation.

There are so many moving parts to putting together any production and when we get down to the wire, so many details require constant attention.  It’s exciting, frustrating, humorous and sometimes terrifying, but this Nutcracker roller coaster is right on track so hold on tight!
