Performance Season

Due COVID-19, Ballet Virginia is currently unable to perform in large indoor venues. We are looking at small outdoor venues, video and other options  to bring dance to the community this season.

December 20, 2020 at 2 PM and 7 PM

“Home for the Holidays” – live streamed from Ballet Virginia’s Black Box Theatre

These virtual performances will feature our professional company and BV II’s in holiday classics, excerpts from “The Nutcracker” and original holiday-themed works by Lownsbury, Michalski and Ballet Virginia’s Resident Choreographer, Lydia Roberts Coco.

March 20-21, 2021

“Visions of Hope”  – Zeiders American Dream Theater

This new production from Ballet Virginia, will feature both classical and contemporary works performed by the company’s professional dancers.   The performances will focus on the journey of moving forward with compassion and gratitude while acknowledging the strife and conflicts of life.

Lydia Roberts Coco, Ballet Virginia’s Resident Choreographer, will be highlighted along with creations by Suzanne Lownsbury and Janina Michalski. Each choreographer will interpret the theme through dance from their own perspectives and diverse experiences.
