BVI Summer Workshops and Intensive Programs Aug 7 – 25, 2017

Summer is the perfect time of year to grow as a dancer without the pressures of school projects and homework.  Dancers who focus on their training during the summer improve greatly.

Full Day Workshops for ages 7-18:

>Performance Workshop 1 (ages 7-13)

>Performance Workshop 2 (ages 9-18)

>Pre-Professional Intensive (high intermediate through advanced dancers)

During August, our 12,000 square foot facility is abuzz with energy and passion the entire day.  Our workshops and intensives offer highly focused, age/ability appropriate training and performance opportunities.  From 9 am to 5 pm the day is full of classes including ballet, pointe or pre-pointe, modern, jazz, character plus choreography.  Performances are held every Friday featuring classical and new choreography.

Half Day Camps for ages 4-6:

>Budding Ballerinas and Promising Princes (ages 4-6)

In August the youngest dancers (ages 4-6) will be immersed in a positive dance environment where their natural creativity, energy and enthusiasm will flourish.  Activities include ballet technique, tap, choreography, acting/pantomime, character and story creation plus costume design.  Be prepared for an original world premiere ballet on the last day of camp.
