Our full-day Summer Intensive is for serious dancers interested in pre-professional training. Ballet Virginia’s Summer Intensive 2026 will run from August 10 to August 14 for Upper School and BVII students. Classes will include ballet, pointe, variations, repertoire and modern along with performance opportunities.
All current Ballet Virginia Upper School students are welcome. BVII dancers must attend. New students must have advanced training and send a photo in first arabesque on pointe to academy@balletvirginia.org to be considered for the Summer Intensive.
The program runs from 9 AM to 5 PM. Classes include Conditioning, Ballet Technique, Pointe and Modern. Classes in other genres may be added. Dancers will also learn and perform classical and contemporary choreography. The performance will be held in BV’s Rehearsal Hall on Friday afternoon.
